"The Little Bad Wolf"
Lars (Erie, PA) 12/3/2019 6:10 AM
I use this tool often on 4140PH/4150PH, A2 and 1018. The product description is not overly hyped. This tool is the bully on the block, it has been given the nickname “The Little Bad Wolf” on the shop floor. This cutter will just keep eating more chip load and more radial engagement at full DOC. We look for excuses to use this tool at this point, it is that fun the watch even under flood coolant! This is one of those tools that removes material so aggressively the thought “yeah, I am going to double check and make sure that vice is REAL tight” will go through your head when you finally get the courage to run this at 100%. The Fire Plug should go in the “Roughing Hall of Fame” right next to the TAS rougher.

This endmill is the bigger badder version of the 3/8 monster
James (KY) 12/6/2014 11:44 PM
I've used this endmill once as was impressed by hogging ability. I use the 3/8 version much more and this is basically the same thing but bigger.

One Hell of an Endmill
Tyson Lamb (Allen, TX) 10/27/2014 1:14 PM
I have been running this endmill for just over a month. I have to say this tool really kicks @$$. With the short flute length and chamfered corner, this tool adapts well to high speed machining, and shallow fast cuts. No squeeling or chatter when machining stainless, just a sweet little purr.
