Our carbide Variable Flute Single Thread Mills have several flutes with only one 60 degree thread form. This lowers pressure in difficult applications along with being able to produce many inch and metric thread sizes with one tool.

Did EXACTLY What I Needed

I bought this to keep in my “Dooms Day” tool stash, for when “it” hits the fan. We ended up having a break down on a piece of equipment while doing a hot job for our #1 customer (go figure). This tool got me out of a jam. It cut a gorgeous looking thread that ended up being too tight on the first go. We did plan to “walk” the cutting tool out to get a nice fit with the exact piece we were working with, which is exactly what we ended up with. Just keep in mind with a single point cutter spring passes are your friend. I have cut 4140PH/4150PH, A2 (before hardening) and aluminum with this cutter. I want to say I have cut 3 or 4 different thread pitches/diameters. I have had nothing but great results every time.
